Founded in 2014 by Josef Elias, Richard Hunter, and Danny Ben Rei, our firm is dedicated to achieving superior returns for our investors by focusing on growing, profitable, family-owned companies. Since our inception, we have successfully invested in 13 companies and completed 18 add-on acquisitions through our portfolio companies. Today, we manage over NIS 1.7 billion in capital, primarily raised from institutional investors

Richard Hunter
Managing Partner
Richard Hunter is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in leading consumer-facing businesses through strategy, value creation, and marketing. He played a pivotal role in the merger of Barak and 013 NetVision and spearheaded the growth strategy at Shufersal. Prior to his current role in Green Lantern, Richard held key leadership positions, including Partner at McKinsey, CEO of 013NetVision, CEO of Shufersal, and CEO of McCann Ericsson. Richard is also a non-executive board member for various public and private companies. Richard earned his MBA from INSEAD and served as a Captain in the Israel Defense Forces
Josef Elias
Managing Partner
Josef Elias is a serial entrepreneur with a focus on education, training, and care sectors. He has a proven track record in leading companies through successful IPOs and trade sales. His extensive experience includes mergers and acquisitions as well as post-merger integration. Josef has held leadership roles such as Chairman of AcadeMedia and CEO of NTI and Intellecto as well as being an Industrial advisor for leading Private Equtiy firms. He is also a non-executive board member for various public and private companies, in Israel and Internationally. Josef holds an MBA from Bar-Ilan University and a B.Sc. from the University of Stockholm.
Danny Ben Rei
Managing Partner
Danny Ben-Rei has over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing post-acquisition value capture programs. He has worked extensively with Israeli and international CPG, retail, and consumer-facing companies. Before his current role, Danny served as an Associate Principal at McKinsey, where he led numerous strategic projects in the consumer and Private Equity space. Danny holds an MBA from INSEAD and previously served as an IAF Helicopter Fighter Pilot.
Yonatan Avivi
Principal
Yonatan Avivi has over 10 years of experience in the consumer sector, leading strategy, transformation, and international expansion initiatives for multinational CPG and retail companies. He has substantial experience in commercial due diligence, portfolio management, and has worked with leading food and retail companies in Israel and globally. Before joining Green Lantern in 2021, Yonatan was an Associate Partner at McKinsey and Company's London office. Yonatan holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in Accounting from Tel Aviv University.
Ofer Witkon
Principal
Ofer Witkon is a seasoned executive with extensive experience managing business units with over 350 million NIS in revenues. He has a proven track record in operational excellence, strategic planning, and driving growth across B2B and B2C markets. Before joining Green Lantern in 2024 Ofer held leadership roles as CEO of IWG Israel and COO of Holmes Place. Ofer holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
Nitzan Zuarets
Office Manager
Nitzan joined Green Lantern in 2023 as our Office Manager. Prior to this, Nitzan served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Holmes Place. Before that, Nitzan spent 16 years at Cellcom, where she supported multiple senior management members as an Executive Assistant
